New Mexico Changes Due Dates for Corporate Biennial Reports

On March 1, 2018, New Mexico Senate Bill 225 was signed into law by the Governor of New Mexico changing biennial report due dates for corporations.

Effective July 1, 2018, all corporation biennial reports will be due on the 15^th day of the 4^th month after the company’s fiscal year end.

Transition to New Deadline for Existing New Mexico Corporations

Previously, the New Mexico corporation biennial report due date was the 15^th day of the 3^rd month after the company’s fiscal year end. The new due date calculation will result in extending the original due date by one month for all future filings. For example, if a corporation’s fiscal year ends in March, the New Mexico report would still be due on June 15, 2018. After July 1, 2018, the corporation’s report due date will be recalculated and extended by one month to a new due date of July 15^th for the next biennial report filing cycle.
