Live date: Tuesday, October 18, 2022

You missed a great webinar in October, but don't worry - life is all about second chances! You now have another chance to watch the Life of a Company Part One: Formation, Expansion and Public Record Requirements webinar once again by viewing it on-demand here!

Hosted by Pia Angelikis, VP of Government Relations and Legal Research, and Teri Mayor, VP of Product Management for Business Entity Services, this webinar will look at early stages in the life of a company, formation and doing business in other states. We will focus on key decisions that need to be made in the formation process, including choice of entity type and choice of jurisdiction and the formalities and public record requirements that will ensue from those choices.  We will also look at the risks of non-compliance, and the future requirements brought about by the Corporate Transparency Act.

We also covered the decisions to be made as a company expands, including how to determine whether a company needs to qualify in a particular state, requirements for doing so, and the importance of maintaining good standing in every jurisdiction where the company is doing business.

  • Choice of entity type, jurisdiction and name
  • Formation requirements and formalities
  • The Corporate Transparency Act (a brief review)
  • Consequences of non-compliance, veil-piercing and defective acts
  • How to determine if qualification is required and the process for doing so
  • Importance of maintaining good standing

There is no fee to download this webinar, however, registration is required for viewing.
